Some Tuckers that came from England, were not true to the line. By that I mean the adopted the name and the Anglican faith to avoid the persecution during the Napoleonic Wars. Their orign was Tabor, a predominantly Slavic name from the regions of Hungary and Czechoslovakia. Being of the Jewish faith, they endured atrocities equal to that of hitlers natzies, but some 200 years earlier.
