I have been researching my mother's Well's surname, and the family appears to be originated in NY. In my search I have run across a marriage that would approximate the time frame of a marriage for my ggg grandfather Wells, whose first name I do not know, but have reason to think that the wife's name is Adaline. I have run across a marriage between Samuel Wells and Adaline Tooker in 1830 taken from the Old School Baptist Church, Brookfield (NY or CT). My gg grandfather, Joseph Wells is in the 1850 Oswego Co., NY Census, 12 years old, and living with a family headed by Simon Hallegan with wife Adaline, 39 years old. I have no other information, or reason to believe that she is the Adaline Tooker, but only lead so far.
