: Hi there

: Have just come across your message re the Tuckers of Georgeham. I am researching the Tucker family and am related to the Tuckers/Barnes of Georgeham. Are you still researching - I am fairly new to this but I may be able to offer some help.

The Barnes family still run a farm in Georgeham and have details of the barnes going back to the twelth century and may have reference to the Tuckers. Sorry I don't have any E mail or address for them. My family were 'SCAMPS' of illfracombe changeing to CAMP in 1882.ROBERT and MARY SCAMP are buried in the churchyard in the centre of GEORGEHAM dated around 1825 I think. sorry details are so sketchy. My grandfather born in 1892 in Barnstaple remebers mention of Tuckers in the family 'Granny Barnes' was his mothers grandmother. We have photographs of her. The Barnes have no record of her birth corresponding to the dates so could it be she was Nee 'Tucker'. Agains sorry thats a guess.
