I have been in contact with Mike TOOKER (webmaster). In the
near future there are going to be some changes to the
data files on the web page. There will be Gedcom files
in the data base. Gedcom files are (format developed
and used by L.D.S.)acceptable to most genealogy
programs. These will be able to be downloaded to your
computer and opened in your genealogy program. You
then will be able to see if Your ancestors are there
or where your line fits in. This should give everyone
a fairly large TOOKER/TUCKER database to work with.
I have just added a rather large branch provided to
me in a Gedcom fileby Carole VAUGHN of this group.
This branch of the genealogy starts with Moses TUCKER
b. 1758 son of Warner TOOKER 1719-1773. A word of
caution here please make your genealogical entries in
the name which appears in the source document. My
genealogy has Warner as TOOKER. The records from
Carole have Moses as TUCKER. The rest of the facts
matched it was just that the last names were variants.
I attached Moses as Moses TUCKER/TOOKER son of Warner
TOOKER and the whole branch fit very well and added
about 10 generations.
There will be two Gedcom files in the begining. There
may be more later. The first goes back to William
Tucker 1432. This is also in the database as a text
file provided by Warren TOOKER of California. The
Gedcom file is mostly from the work of C. Evelyn Brown
Stuewer and and Alma S.T. Saxton. This information
came off the net. It has some critical errors but
should be of help to some people as it may provide an
entry point.
The second Gedcom file is of a genealogy compiled and
written by Franklin TUCKER and myself. The documentation
is more sustantial and accuracy has been of great
importance. This file goes back to Captain John TOOKER
c. 1594(also known in some records as TUCKER) of Long
Island. This is the file where the branches will be
added. If you add a branch you will be listed as a
research reference for that branch. Any other
attachments to your added branch will have to be
approved by you.
At present if you want to add a branch or you have any I am not as yet retired so turnaround time may be a bit Thank you. Jeffrey R. Tooker

branch you want added and please explain where it fits

long. I hope I don't get swamped. I have shurly
forgotten somthing but I know some of you will
show me the error of my ways.
