: Mary stayed. Same John just american spelling not dutch.
Dutch spelling was Croesen - there are hundreds of derivations though, including Cruser and John was a Cruser. Anyway, John and Mary baptized children at the Port Richmond Dutch Reformed Church 1791-1807, but the three eldest are not accounted for there. The first record of John and Mary is 1784 NJ and the second 1790 Staten Island. So where were they 1784-1790 and where did they baptize those first three children? When I heard about Jacob Tooker and family going to Nova Scotia around the same time, I thought it a possibility. Still do, in fact.
