I am organizing Staten Island Tucker/Tooker-related events into a localized timeline for the Staten Island genealogy page. I know that Jacob Tooker who married Margery Hatfield escaped jail in Elizabeth Town and jumped across the Arthur Kill to Staten Island during the Revolution. Subsequently, two of his daughters married Staten Island men (Deborah to Denys Van Tuyl and Mary to John Cruser). In addition, Jacob's sister Elizabeth married a second, unidentified, Cruser. The earliest Tooker marriage I have recorded is 1774, John Tooker to Sarah Swaim. Subsequent events I have recorded reach into the 20th century. I would like to contribute this timeline to the Tooker.org page, but first I would invite any interested person to inform me of any Tooker/Tucker event related to Staten Island they would like to have included in such a family timeline. Thank you. Doris Lane
