I'm looking for ancestors of Henry Furleson Tucker (b. Jan. 8, 1808; d. May 1872) who was married to Amelia Parkhurst (b. August 25, 1806 d. February 04, 1844). They lived in Effingham, Illinois, at the time of Amelia's death.
Also, a note about the origin of the Tooker/Tucker name: I've read the original spelling was Tout Couer, a Saxon word roughly translated to mean All Heart. I've also read about trade being the source name. Maybe the first fullers or tucks were actually Tout Couers, and the name eventually evolved into Tooker/Tucker? Whatever the origin, seems like there's lots of us!!!
I have alot of information on the descendants of Henry Tucker, and would be happy to share.
